Le Village de Napoleon
Chanthaburi’s only truly international restaurant offers a mix of quality European dishes including imported meat cuts and many homemade dishes like English sausages, pies and pate. The Thai cuisine is also outstanding with a comprehensive menu of dishes for both Thai and foreign tastes with plenty of fresh seafood.
The dining room is most attractive while the terrace and salas by the sea offer another option for open air diners.
Wines and Champagne are kept in a temperature controlled environment and a well stocked bar offers an extensive range of aperitifs and cocktails.

When visiting Chanthaburi it is imperative that you try some of the local cuisine and Chanthorn Phochana, a 40 year plus restaurant next to Kasemsarn Hotel serves many great Thai classics and also two Chanthaburi favourites, Kuatiou Pad Pu and Moo Cha Muang. The first dish Kuatiou Pad Pu is similar to a Pad Thai but is fried with crabs and permeates sweet, hot and sour flavours. Moo Cha Muang a dish sometimes also found in Trat and Rayong is produced using a herb exclusive to this region called Bai Cha Muang; it’s a rich soupy curry that is not spicy but a little sweet and sour. The process takes some hours as the herbal leafs have to be rubbed by hand, the result though is one exquisite dish. Also look out for Kuatiou Moo (Pork) Leang or Nua (Beef) Leang, a noodle soup served with specially prepared herbal stewed pork or beef, another of Chanthaburi’s very famous dishes and served all over town.
